On Saturday 13th December 2025 at 10 am, in the Aula Magna in via Laura 48, Florence, the volume “Tell Afis (Syria). The 2005-2010 Excavations on the Acropolis”, edited by Stefania Mazzoni, Candida Felli and Giuseppe Minunno, will be presented by Marta D’Andrea ( Rome University “La Sapienza”), Marco Iamoni (Udine University) and Marina Pucci (Florence University).
Masaoud Badawi and Salah Shaker, director and vice-director of excavations and archaeological studies of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of Syria will attend with communications on Tell Afis and the Orontes valley.
We are pleased to announce the release of the volume TELL AFIS (SYRIA). The 2005-2010 Excavations on the Acropolis, edited by Stefania Mazzoni, Candida Felli and Giuseppe Minunno (Series: Studies in Syrian Archaeology, 8). The volume provides a preliminary account of the results of the latest excavation campaigns at Tell Afis, in the years 2005-2010.
